In recent years, the issue of crime has fallen to the bottom of the political charts. Rarely mentioned in Congress, many political leaders are treating the crime issue like polio – something that was once a problem in the United States but that now is basically solved.
But crime is on its way back. This memo offers progressives a new framework of Responsibility on an issue that is moving from the back to the front burner.
